Prior to arriving at UC Riverside, Silva-Risso was executive director of marketing science at J.D. Power and Associates, where he tarted the marketing science group, which specializes in developing and implementing quantitative models of consumer-level response to marketing programs offered by the automobile industry.
On Automobile Marketing
Silva-Risso’s current research interests include econometric models of demand and consumer response, marketing effectiveness, pricing and the effects of the Internet on marketing. His previous research has focused on how to save money when buying a new car and the influence of weather when buying a home or car.
